Al Hosn Palace: Al-Hosn Palace, most commonly known as the Old Fort or the White Fort, is the oldest building in the city which was recently renovated. Built in the late 19th century, the palace is known for its courtyard and tile work, and was the residence of the ruling family.

 

Corniche: The Corniche is a long road that extends almost 6 km or 4 miles from the Sheraton Hotel to the Hilton Hotel. Dotted with beautiful gardens, this boulevard borders the coastal waters of the city. Marvelous fountains and can be seen on every intersection of the Corniche. The combination of innovative skyscrapers, sandy beaches and green gardens make the Corniche a spectacular site to visit. With the modern buildings facing the sea for the background, it is one of the most picturesque sites in Abu Dhabi.

 




Cultural Foundation: The Cultural Foundation is composed of the National Archives, the National Library and the Institute of Culture and Art. Adjacent to the Qasr al-Hosn, the building housing the Cultural Foundation has typical Islamic design features, elaborate courtyards, gardens and exquisitely carved doorways.

Women’s Craft Center: Women's Association carries out weaving, embroidery, sewing, basketry and other methods of handicrafts in this government run facility. The Women's Craft Center is the perfect setting to understand and contemplate the arts and crafts of local women. If you are interested in buying genuine traditional handicrafts, the Women's Craft Center is the right place.
